Strengthening Emotional Intelligence

Staying composed when things get personal

Leadership would be easy if it were only about facts. In reality, much is decided in moments when emotions come into play: a feedback conversation that escalates. A decision that meets with resistance. A team member who withdraws. These are the moments that show whether a leader stays effective.

The essentials of this training

When this topic becomes relevant:

Conversations go sideways without anyone quite knowing why. Feedback does not get through or causes more hurt than intended. Under pressure, the leader reacts differently from how they would like to – and only realises it afterwards. Tensions within the team are noticed but not addressed.

What we work on:

Recognising your own patterns: What triggers stress in me – and how do I respond? Perceiving and understanding other people’s emotions without rushing to judgement. Navigating difficult conversations without avoiding them or becoming defensive. And understanding the impact you have – whether you intend it or not.

How it works:

As a one- or two-day training for groups of six to twelve participants. We work with real conversations from the participants’ day-to-day experience. Leaders reflect on their own reaction patterns and explore practical ways to remain clear and effective under pressure.

What changes:

Leaders who understand their own reaction patterns remain effective even in difficult moments. For the company, this means conflicts are addressed earlier, difficult conversations are more likely to lead to constructive outcomes, and escalations within the team can be reduced.

Does this fit your situation?

Let’s talk. In a no-obligation initial conversation, we will clarify what your situation is really about – and whether training is the right format.
