But what should my New Year's resolution be?
Tomorrow marks the start of a new year, yet this time, I feel no urge to radically change or improve anything.
Around me, everyone is talking about resolutions: what they’ll stop doing from 1 January or what absolutely must change. That’s great – change can be incredibly enriching. But do we always have to tie it to a specific day? Do we really need to force something just because the calendar says so?
Why do we humans so often focus on what could be better and forget to honour what we’ve already accomplished?
2024 was a year of transformation for me: I realigned my career, became self-employed, built a business, and learned so much – both professionally and personally. I had the privilege of supporting wonderful people on their journeys – as a coach, mentor, in my private life, and here on LinkedIn, through this fantastic network that I’ve built with so much passion.
It was an exciting, intense year. There were highs, challenges, and yes, some sad, heartbreaking moments. But looking back, I see it all as part of the journey that brought me to where I am today.
2025 begins tomorrow. Fresh. Unwritten. And I’m looking forward to it – without forced resolutions.
I just want to be present, enjoy the moment, and look forward to what’s to come. Most importantly, I want to allow myself to say:
Everything is good, just as it is.
How about we use this New Year to ask ourselves:
🌟 What did I do really well in 2024?
🌟 What am I grateful to myself for?
🌟 What do I want to carry forward because it fulfils me?
This is my New Year’s impulse for you. Let’s celebrate the good we already hold within ourselves and stay curious about what lies ahead – without pressure, without force.
What did you do well in 2024? I’d love to hear your thoughts. ✨
