61 Men, 2 Women – and What This Image Reveals About Leadership in 2025

If this is leadership – where is half of society?

The German Chancellor meets with 61 top business representatives.
DAX executives. Decision-makers. Power.

And two women.

Two. Out of sixty-one.

No coincidence. No isolated case.
A systemic failure – captured in a single image.

This photo is not just a snapshot.
It is a mirror of a reality we should have long left behind.
And clear proof that lip service to diversity simply isn’t enough.

Because as long as women are missing from these spaces,
we are missing half the experience, perspective, competence –
and the future viability of the German economy.

I no longer whisper, Where are the women?
I say it out loud: We’re right here.

In my work, I coach women who lead – effectively, confidently, powerfully.
Not despite their femininity – but because of it.

We don’t need an invitation into these rooms.
We need the courage to shape them – anew, equally, with impact.

Those who truly want change must be willing to challenge the status quo.

Let’s break the pattern. Let’s show up. Let’s lead.
