Leading Remote and Hybrid Teams

Leading without being in the same room

At a distance, much of what leadership achieves informally in the office is lost: the quick glance, the conversation in the corridor, the sense of how someone is doing. What develops naturally in the office has to be created deliberately at a distance – connection, clarity and a sense of belonging. Hybrid teams present particular challenges because two working realities exist at the same time.

The essentials of this training

When this topic becomes relevant:

Those in the office are more likely to know what is happening, while those working from home hear about decisions later. Meetings work for the people in the room but effectively exclude those joining remotely. Leaders no longer know how individual team members are really doing. Or trust is replaced by control because physical presence is no longer available as visible proof of performance.

What we work on:

Agreeing on how the team communicates: What should be handled in writing, what requires a conversation and what response times should apply? Creating a sense of connection without monitoring people. Designing meetings so that remote participants can contribute on equal terms. And addressing the question on which so much depends: How can I tell from a distance that someone is no longer coping well?

How it works:

As a one- or two-day training for groups of six to twelve participants – also available as remote training. This offers the advantage of learning directly in the setting the training addresses. We work on the participants’ actual coordination processes, communication channel

What changes:

Leaders who lead deliberately at a distance stay connected with everyone on the team – not only those who are physically present. For the company, this means information that reaches everyone, meetings in which everyone can participate on equal terms, and teams that work well together even when they are not in the same place.

Let’s talk. In a no-obligation initial conversation, we will clarify what your situation is really about – and whether training is the right format.
